A: Yes, normally we make appointments to
come to your home so we can get an understanding and feel for the
area in which we be building your cabinets.
Q; What do we need to get started?
A: A blue print of the project, if
available. Otherwise, contact us 631.226.6616 to set up an appointment
to discuss your project and we develop a working floor plan.
Q: When should I get started?
A: The sooner we are involved in your
project the better. Once you decide to proceed with us, call to
inform us. Unless we are doing the remodeling work on your project,
it is important for us to become involved before the framing process
of your home to provide assistance to your contractor and/or
yourself.
Q: What can I expect from your sales department?
A: The president of the company, having over
29 years experience in designing and building fine cabinetry will
assist you in creating a working layout to meet your every need as
well as helping in color selections. We will provide information at
the job site to assure plumbing, electrical and other issues are
watched so they do not interfere with the cabinets at any time.
Q: In what time frame can I expect a bid?
A: For most projects you can expect the bid
to be done in 2-6 working days from the time of your visit.
Q: Does The Wood Kottage Inc. produce everything
they sell?
A: Almost. We manufacture all cabinetry and
fabricate Mica and Corian countertops at our manufacturing facility
in Copiague, New York. By doing this we can control the quality and lead
times to meet the standards we have set to achieve the results we
are looking for.
Q: How long does it take to build my cabinets?
A: Usually 6-10 weeks depending on the types
of cabinets we are building.
Q: What should I use to clean my cabinets?
A: For day to day cleaning needs we
recommend warm water and a soft cloth. Additional cleaning for a
build up of grease and dirt should be done with Murphy’s oil soap,
which can be found at a local grocery store. We recommend not using
spray on furniture polishes, as they will form a film over time.
Q: What is your warranty or service program?
A: The Wood Kottage Inc. has a one-year
product and labor warranty for manufacturing defects. You can call
us Monday-Friday 9:00-3:00 to speak to a representative about any
service concerns.
